On this weeks episode, we do a little catch up on all things going on in the BCP brothers lives. We allow our conversation to go where it goes and it ends up taking a very introspective understandings of Mikes short comings and an opportunity to better himself. We also take on a atheistic argument against religion and the pursuit of truth.

On this episode of the BCP we do a Bourbon taste comparison with a couple of our favorite Bourbons and a wild card.
After that's done we do take on the idea of outrage culture, who does it better and is it worth your energy and attention. This episode also features one of my top four brother-in-laws, Nathan V.

Prophets... the fortune tellers of  religious circles. They have predicted the end of the world, future world leaders and who I was supposed to be. What do we do when they are wrong and how do we address their failures?
I have great respect for the legit prophets that are out there, but, there are a ton of people out there saying they speak on behalf of God who take it a little to lightly.

After the release of "Getting to know Mike" Amanda learned a few things and had some questions and we really felt like we could make some good content. Really we could call this one "Getting to know mike Better" but this was decided early.

Getting to know a little bit about where Biker Mike comes from, both geographically and spiritually. Mike has some views that seem to be a little off but when you let him make his case, he seems a little less crazy, still crazy but at least you know how he got there.
At one point in the conversation he defends Martha, who Jesus rebuked, pointing out that too many Christian use this as an excuse to be task lazy and spiritually pretentious. It really is quite the little conversation.

As fans of metal music, we've found ourselves under a certain level of disregard and at time ridiculed for our choice of musical preference. But, where does Metal music fall in the hierarchy of art? Some people say it takes no talent, like abstract art, upon further study, there is far more to it than it's initial impression. So we break it down and make a case for metal.

What is it about sports that people love so much? Not just the Big 4(MLB,NHL,NFL&NBA) but all sports. There is a strong bond between geographical unity and sport. The Olympics is one of the greatest examples of tribalism, we may hate everything about the athlete themself, but if they represent out country, we cheer as though it may help. If our team win, we win, if our team lost, they lost.

Biker Mike doesn't like angels, they confuse him and make him angry and uncomfortable with his materialistic understanding of the world. That does not take them out of the Biblical accounts and the human experiences of those that encounter them.
Where do they fit and how can we accept that they are part of our liturgy? If they are really, what would be their understanding of God and do they have free will? These are frustrating questions for Mike.
